Sharp Unveils First Android Smart Phone with 3D Screen

A Japanese company, Sharp, introduced two mobile phones with 3D-displays. Models Galapagos 003SH and Galapagos 005SH will be sold only in Japan from a local mobile operator SoftBank.

Both smart-phones are equipped with 3.8-inch touch screen technology-based ASV (Sharp Advanced Super View TFT) with 480 × 800 pixels (WVGA) and support for multi-touch technology, display of phones is capable of creating 3D images without the need to wear special glasses.

Model Sharp Galapagos 003SH is endowed with 9.6-megapixel camera on the basis of the CCD with auto focus lens and the recording function of HD-video format 720p, 400 MB of internal memory, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Sharp Galapagos 005SH has a sliding QWERTY keyboard and it is “side slide”, 512 MB of memory and a camera with 8 mega-pixels.

Both smart phones are geared with GHz Snapdragon processor, and it works under OS Android 2.2.
